The Doc Findlay Hills
Mild winter weather allowed for good conditions for hiking local trails. Normally there would be a season of “snow stomping”, hiking carefully on snowy trails, sometimes wearing micro-spikes (cleats) on hiking boots. At the end of December I hiked the hills on the east side of Kenna Cartwright Park, on and off the Doc Findlay Trail, starting at the trailhead at the end of Pacific Way.
There are a series of viewpoints along the route with wide views north and east.
There are a number of interesting trees on the edge of the bluffs and more views. Click an image for a lightbox view and a caption.
I am out hiking every day and the Doc Findlay route is one of hundreds in our area to explore. Watch for more hikes to do on Kamloopstrails.net and on Rambleon.ca YouTube videos can be seen on the Ramble On Channel too.
