On a cloudy February day we hiked a loop route in the Batchelor Trails from the main (middle) parking lot.    We followed the access road, then hiked up the Tower Classic Trail, then the Naked Pistol Trail through the pass, and then came back on the Shady Glen Trail.

The south-facing slopes were dry as we climbed up the pass between Tower Hill and Batchelor Hill.

Some light snow was forecast and it arrived about an hour into the hike.

At the north end of our loop hike we went through an area giant ryegrass.

The final leg of the route followed the fenceline above Batchelor Lake, now a dry meadow.

This was a 4.7 km hike, and enjoyable 80 minutes on the trails.    A few moments are captured in this short video:
