I ramble every day.   I hike, walk,  run, kayak, snowshoe, play tennis, garden, and explore nature.  While rambling, I take photos and often take some video footage.   Recently I have added a drone for some aerial footage.   A sense of wonder, curiosity,  and appreciation starts on these rambles, then is followed up by some level of enquiry.   Photos, video, and information acquired usually results in a post on one of my websites.

At the same time, I have spent most of my life reading.     Fiction has been the mainstay for daily reading, but wherever my investigations go results in reading non-fiction too.   Reading is another journey, a time to wear someone else’s shoes in another time and place.

Whenever I ramble, there is a strong sense of place, an immersion in an unique environment, each one different from the previous one.    I try to see and understand the differences and similarities, and posts are an attempt to interpret that place.

This website is an outlet for some of those experiences.     I will be on and off the trails every day and the experiences and images of rambles are the background to the posts on this website.
