On a snowy cold day at the end of February, the chosen route was in Kenna Cartwright Park from the Home Depot Trailhead.    there was no one on the the Reservoir Trail and as I climbed the Kinnikinik Trail, I was breaking trail on a steep snowy trail.

From Kinnikinik, there were some short trail sections – Doc Findlay – Red Fox, then Deer Run.

There were views up the North Thompson Valley at several points.

From the Red Tailed Hawk Trail I started a loop route dropping down to the Reservoir Trail and back for a km hike

This is one of a few nearby trails, best suited to a shorter hike on days with marginal weather.    In this cold and snowy period, several other hiking routes bracketed this day of hiking.
