My truck couldn’t get up Springhill so I left it down at Summit last night.   I ran down to the truck this morning.   Tennis in the afternoon.

We hiked down to the Tranquille River near the Watching Creek confluence, crossed the river by rock hopping and then hiked along the rim of the canton south.    We explored a side trail to the Opax Hoodoo, then dropped down to the river.    The crossing was more difficult on the lower end, but we managed to cross, then hiked along … Continue reading →

A pleasant hike on the Greenstone Mountain Trails.    Some of the Easy Does It Loop, but a new trail this time too.

With winds forecast, I got up to Edith Lake early.   Snow had fallen overnight.   A cool but lovely paddle.
