Nymph Falls Trails
While we were in Courtney we hiked the trails in Nymph Falls Nature Park. There are lots of trails on both sides of the Puntledge River.
We hiked down to the foot of Nymph Falls, then turned and went upstream.
The river is dammed between the falls and Comox Lake. We hiked upstream past wetlands.
The west coast forest has second growth douglas far, cedar, and hemlock trees. Wet areas have black cottonwoods, maple, red alder, and yew.
While we were hiking, we were fortunate to spot trillium in bloom along several parts of the trails.
These trails have some hike-only trails and some multi-use trails with bikes, dog walkers, runners, and hikers. We enjoyed hiking these new-to-us trails in the Comox Valley.
