We hiked on the delta sand islands and shoreline near Kamloops Lake, starting from Tranquille on the Lake. 

Our route was a 5.2 km loop that took us out to the shoreline of Kamloops Lake, south of Cooney Bay. 

Our return route was along the beach, heading back upriver.
