On a mild winter day I parked at Lodgepole Lake on the Chuwhels Mountain Road and started snowshoeing up the Chuwhels Mountain Road, then I turned onto the large Walloper Creek Pond.   I did a double loop route , both near the start.

Most of the routes are on single tracks through lodgepole pines.    Some of these link to ponds, lakes, marshes, creeks, backroads, and motorcycle trails.    There are many possible loop routes to choose.

To finish the first loop I came down the Chuwhels Mountain Road.

Just about every day on the Lodgepole Lake Trails is wonderful experience.   Two days of snowshoeing now are done and more will be done before the end of snowshoeing season.
