Near the end of summer I drove to the Municipal Campground at Logan Lake.     I launched my kayak at the boat launch on the east end of the lake, then paddled around the lake twice, once in each direction.    Afterward, I secured the boat, then hiked around the lake on the Logan Lake Nature Trail.

The lake was quiet.    A couple of small fishing boats were on the lake.    Coots were dabbling in the bays and blackbirds were active on the marshy bays.   This is a small lake so paddling around the lake twice took 43 minutes.

The trail around the lake goes right through the campground.     The trail on the south side of the lake is a wide gravel path.    The rest of the trail is paved,

The three-times-around-the-lake workout was about 5.6 km, taking about 90 minutes.
