We have been to Galiano Island a few times to hike, paddle, and explore.    One of the best trails on this Gulf Island is on Mount Galiano.    We hiked to the top of Mt. Galiano one day to enjoy the views, then we hiked the the Collison Park Trails another day.   The trail to the top of Mt. Galiano winds up through the forest to a series of lookouts with views in 3 directions.    We could see south to the San Juan Islands in the United States.    We could see southwest through the Gulf Islands toward Victoria and we had good views of the neighboring islands (Mayne, Salt Spring,  and Prevost) and the various channels between the islands.

The hike up the mountain and back is about 6 km, taking over 2 hours, but you will want yto leave more time to explore viewpoints.
