North Vista Loop
On a beautiful spring day I started a hike from the Pacific Way Trailhead, and hiked a series of trails up and over the shoulder of Mt. Dufferin in Kenna Cartwright Park. The goal was to hike the North Vista Trail (from the Upper Doug Daws Trail), a scenic and rewarding trail with fine 270º views of the valleys, the hills above them, and distant peaks all the way to snow-capped Dunn Peak. My preference, where possible, is to hike a loop route, so I combined a series of trails, including Ruffed Grouse, Owl’s Perch, and Doc Findlay back to the start. All of the junctions are signed and the trails are also included in a mapping app (I use Maps.me).

This was a 5.4 km hike taking about 1.7 hours. I last did this hike on the snow so it was much easier this time. Some photos (with captions) are shared here in a Google Photos album – North Vista Loop Hike – link.
