On Paul Lake
In on a mid-June morning the forecast called for a weather system to blow through the area, so I got an early start to the day, choosing Paul Lake for a loop route of kayaking. I launched from the beach area and paddled west toward Gibraltar Rock.

There was some wind, but all quite manageable as I went around the cliffs of the bluff.

I crossed the lake in steady winds from the east, then came up the south side of the lake, heading east.

I had anticipated some crosswinds on the way back across the lake, but then the wind died down so I had an easy crossing back to the beach area, completing a 70 minute paddle loop on the middle third of the lake.
This was Day 34 of paddling in 2025.
