Tsintsunko Lake
We have twice hiked into Tsintsunko Lake. It is located in a remote area of the Bonaparte Plateau. The driving route requires some navigation – Westyde Road > Jamieson Creek Road to Whitewood Lake (27 km) > Beaverhut/Cabin FSR (12.5 km) > Branch Road. There are some rough trails/routes in to the lake. On our first trip, we took the signed trail from the Forest Service Road down to Jolly Lake. We continued on down the drainage to a junction of trails in a wet area. We forged our own way over to the end of Tsintsunko Lake where we picked up the lake trail. We hiked out on a rough quad track to the FSR and looped back to the start. On our second time, we parked at the rough track and portaged our kayaks one kilometer to the shoreline. We used kayak carts, but it was still a difficult portage. It would be a good route for a folding kayak (next time).

On the second trip I kayaked the whole lake, then explored the lake trail. My friend fished the lake. Tsintsunko Lake is a fine wilderness spot for exploration. Some images are shared here from the second visit, shared as a slideshow:
The Google Photos album can also be seen at this link – Tsintsunko Lake
I had hoped to return this year hike and paddle the lake, but there was a washout on the Beaverhut Forest Service Road and it may not be possible to get through, so I will delay that adventure until there are clear signs that there is reasonable access.
