Bush South Snowshoe

Ramble On Posted on 2025-01-27 by D. Smith2025-08-09

I snowshoed in the Bush Lake Trails area, a loop route around Bush Hill, a good stomp on established tracks, but also a shortcut (breaking trail),  and a single track through a cluttered hillside (deadfall mostly).   This was a 4 km outing on a sunny morning.

I was pleased to see a trail sign for a name I had used for this trail, starting 4 decades ago.    Much of the trail had been used by both snowshoers and fat tire bikers and the conditions were perfect for this snow stomp.

I saw no one else on the trails.    I enjoyed the old growth douglas firs, some tall aspens, and the frost on younger pines.

Even though I have snowshoed the Bush Lake area five times already this winter, there are still some more trails to do in the coming weeks.
