Mimi Falls Hike

Ramble On Posted on 2026-11-07 by D. Smith2026-11-07

On a cool fall day we drove to Logan Lake to hike the Mimi Falls Trail.     The trailhead is at the east end of the lake in the Logan Lake Municipal Campground.    Single track trails go around the end of the lake and up into the hills.   The trail has been maintained by the Highland Valley Outdoor Association since it was built in 2020 as part of the upcoming 50th Anniversary of Logan Lake.  The trail winds between the disc golf course and the golf course, then heads southeast to the Meadow Creek Canyon.

The route goes through grassland glades and open ponderosa pine forest and ends at a platform overlooking Mimi Falls, a minor cascade, but a pleasant spot.   There are a number or trails that link up, offering an opportunity for a loop route, but we hiked out and back, a 6.6 to 7.0 km route, depending on some route choices.   This was a quiet trail on a weekday in fall.    Along the way, we took some photos, a few of which are shared here in a slideshow:

  • Some of the photos are from a previous hike on the trail at the same time of the year.

  • Mimi Falls is a recommended hiking trail.
