On a mid-May day with changeable weather I drove up the Lac le Jeune Road as it rained, but emerged into drier weather past Lac le Jeune.    From the start of the road to Logan Lake (Meadow Creek Rd.) to the turnoff is about 8 km and the lake is 8.5 km up the Paska Lake Road (paved).   I used the boat launch at the Rec Site to paddle around the lake.   The lake sits at 1451 m (4760 feet) on the west side of Chuwhels Mountain.

In spring there is a marshy back channel which can be paddled downstream to a bay full of both ducks and lily pads.

I paddled down the channel and back, then continued to paddle around the shoreline of the lake in a counter-clockwise direction, finishing a 5 km route.

On a weekend the Rec Site and the lake can be a busy spot, but on a weekday, the lake was quiet and peaceful.     I will return to paddle Face Lake, just 0.5 km north from Mile High Lodge at a later date.
